Okay I'm coming back from the uninspired dead....

Alrighty on Saturday I was suppose to have two vending events well its turns out I only had one and that the other was a big miscommunication error #FAIL! Anyway the one that I did actually have was hmmm shall I say not exactly what I expected but darn near close. I did sell not one thing. Not even a print or a note card. I had things ranging from $350-$1.00 and still no one bought. I can't say that I've ever had that happen before but hey what can you do??? Nothing except keep it moving right. One thing though...I did paint live to keep myself occupied while I sat at my table. And what I have so far I am totally in love with! She is so pretty! but I am however stuck on one detail.

It's obvious she is under water and she is one of the the "Fluid" pieces I am currently working on. Kacey's Blu's was the third instillation and Rhythm Nation was the second. The first is the piece that I actually named "Fluid". I did do a little twist and change up her background color but my dilemma is to pay homage to the ones who lost their lives in the oil rig explosion and keep the bubbles black or do I continue on with my regular bubbles as usual????

Hey there!
Thanks for your comments on you Mermaid painting :)
I really enjoy this one you created and i love love love seeing other artist's "work in progress" shots, very cool. I think you should stick with the oil bubbles. It really adds an interesting dark undertone/message to the painting. Only thing i would suggest is adding a small stripe/highlight on each so that they "pop" more to the viewers eye. great piece...has a lot of flow.
Oh, and by the way- I would say generally when I go out to art fairs I make $0 or next to nothing. What keeps me investing time and energy in the art fairs/art walks is that I get to partake in a community organizing. I also love watching people to see what they are drawn to and why. almost every time I do an art event I meet someone who either becomes a patron in the future or ends up presenting me with a wonderful opportunity down the line. So don’t fret- you’re certainly not the only one to go out and make no money. Its tough times….art isn’t selling all that well. Sad fact but true.
keep up the good work sister.
much love and many blessings,
