Happy2010!!!

Happy New Year folks! May your year and decade be full of goodness, blessings, health, hope, love, peace, and prosperity.
I have been a busy little bee. Trying to tie up loose ends so I can get on with this wonderful new year, decade and journey. I'm so excited about all the possibilities. A little nervous but hopeful none the less.

I've finished my first painting for 2010 she is the second installation in my series on beauty, hair and fashion.

You can also view the process by clicking on the youtube video link over in the sidebar. I can't wait to get started on the next one.
Also to celebrate the beginning of a new year I am going to do another giveaway, yay! So the details for that will be in my next blog but I will tell you this much your going to have to subscribe to my youtube page in order to have a chance to win. Hey... I'm just making sure I cover all my social media and networking lol.
Okay friends I have thought about going to school and getting my degree in fine art. Some say it doesn't matter some say it does. Well I say I don't see how it could hurt so why not??? Now I just have to get together the finances so I can go.

I have so many goals I've set for myself but I understand and realize I need to tackle them one by one. Or else I'm setting myself up for failure.
However the little things aren't so hard. Like writing letters. Making little gifts just show you care or that the person is appreciated. Its fun and they will cherish it even more. In this fast pace world of emails twitter facebook and text message we tend to loose the personal touch of the little things that count.
Get back in the habit of going to church I was a lot more centered when I went.
I promised myself I would get out more and do some face to face social networking.
Take better care of myself on the inside and out because I deserve the best of me.
Put away a few dollars just to get back into the habit of saving.
I will make a new piece of art no matter how small at least once weekly. I will draw daily.
I will call my dad more. Spend more recreational time with my children.
Hang out more with my sister (both of them) These are just a few. My list is long some are simple and some aren't. But like I said baby steps one thing at a time. The biggest leap I will be taking is cutting my Saturdays at the salon back to every other Saturday. I plan to use that time off the get out and enjoy the art scene and participate as well. I'm leaving you with two quotes for the week...

“Don't wait. The time will never be just right.” - Napoleon Hill
“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

peace and blessings
